Nashville-based indie Americana rock artist, Jameson Elder, announces the release of his debut LP, Prodigals & Thieves, on February 16, 2016. Elder wrote and co-produced the record, having gained experience by working for producer Paul Moak (Relient K, Mat Kearney, Marc Broussard) at The Smoakstack Studio (Kelly Clarkson, Cold War Kids, Dave Barnes, The Indigo Girls). The American Songwriter-featured artist “manages to consistently create songs that are heartfelt and genuine. They sound immediately familiar and yet are unmistakably original” (New York Minute Magazine).

Elder, a Georgia native, first discovered a passion for music through his church, singing in the choir and with church bands. Years later, he relocated to attend Belmont University in Nashville, where he worked for Paul Moak, furthering his interest in the recording and songwriting processes. While at Smoakstack, Elder met co-producer and current owner of Forty-One Fifteen Studios, Dewey Boyd, and the two collaborated to record Elder’s first EP, The Home I’ve Never Known, in 2012. The duo then produced Elder’s sophomore EP, Where Beauty Remains, in 2013. Following the release of Where Beauty Remains, Elder continued to build a fanbase through live performances at intimate venues, like The Basement in Nashville and Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta. His music has been featured on the ABC show Nashville.

“Jameson Elder taught me more about songwriting in thirty minutes than I’ve heard in a long time. He knows that there is no formula and manages to consistently create songs that are heartfelt and genuine. They sound immediately familiar and yet are unmistakably original. ” -NY Minute Magazine
